New Virtual Tour for VWC
51漫画ios recently unveiled a new online virtual tour available on the , and the platform.
The tour includes designated tour stops, a live virtual tour guide with audio, photos and 360-degree panoramas of select locations on campus. It is also available in virtual reality mode for those who own a VR headset such as Oculus Gear VR.
Tour stops include Hofheimer Library, Blocker Hall, the Batten Student Center, Birdsong Field, Alpine Tower and the new Greer Environmental Sciences Center, scheduled to open in 2017.

State of the College to be Live Webcast
President Scott D. Miller will deliver his 2016 address on August 23 at 12:15 p.m. Mike White '81 Joins VWC Board of Trustees Michael J. White, President of Maersk Line Agency, Inc., selected to serve on governing body of the College.

VWC political science professor Leslie Caughell's article about the potential effect on polls of Hillary Clinton's historic nomination--originally published on --was picked up by a variety of national news outlets including Business Insider, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and the New Republic. Caughell's recent book, "," explores the sources of gender gaps in policy preferences. VWC's own Paul and Sandra Ewell were featured in the July 29 issue of the (page 27) in a story about the Eastern Shore Watermen's Museum and Research Center. VWC basketball alumnus Marques Fitch '06 appeared in a news segment on August 6. Through his work with the American Heart Association, the former Marlin guard and captain started the first-ever Royal Court Skills Basketball Challenge. The event was held at Forsyth Court in the Batten Convocation Center.

Hannah Blanco (2016) has been accepted into the University of Tennessee, Knoxville's Master of Information Sciences program for their inaugural program in User Experience and Accessibility.
Rev. Susan P. (Burke) Jones (1980) joins Baylor University as a senior fellow in the Institute for Faith and Learning. Susan comes to Baylor from a position as associate dean for ministerial formation at Duke Divinity School. She is a frequent retreat leader for lay and clergy groups, and her writings have appeared in publications including Faith and Leadership, The Christian Century and The Upper Room. She received her bachelor's degree in religious studies.
Matt Lewis (2007) joins the Y in Central Maryland as executive director of the Y in Pasadena. For the past 10 years, he has served in various roles with the YMCA of South Hampton Roads. Most recently, Matt was the executive director of the South Boston Family Center Y. His bachelor's degree is in recreation and leisure studies. |
Mari (Keefer) Mann (1996) is associate producer for the upcoming film Eyes of the Roshi, which will have its Red Carpet Sneak Preview on August 20 in Virginia Beach at the Museum of Contemporary Art. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in art, Mari went on to receive her master's degree in humanities from Cal State. She has published three novels and a book of short stories.
